John 20:28 Thomas says "my Lord and my God"
Many people believe that when Thomas said to Jesus “my Lord
and my God” in John 20:28, that he was correctly stating that Jesus is Jehovah God.
On the face of it this seems like one of the strongest arguments to support the
"Jesus is God" argument. This is a legitimate position to take, and I
understand that when John 20:28 is taken on its own, or combined with some
other passages, someone would hold this viewpoint. However I believe the
interpretation should be otherwise, and by the end of this study I will have
shown that John 20:28 does not show that Jesus is Jehovah God.
